In horizontal soil injection, a water inhibiting layer is applied under the construction pit to be excavated. This is mainly carried out on subsoil where a natural water-inhibiting clay layer is missing. To make the existing soil layer water inhibitory, the soil is injected with generally water glass (silicates)
The injection hoses are installed by drilling or vibrating in a grid at such a depth that the cofferdam will not crack after excavation. After applying the hoses, the fluid is injected and after curing, a water-inhibiting layer will form.
The resulting horizontal layer serves as a water-inhibiting layer in the bottom of the construction pit.
A horizontal soil injection is also known as water-inhibiting soil injection.
In addition to horizontal soil injection, we naturally also use vertical soil injection / constructive soil injection.
