Water glass injection

Water glass injection is a technique used in 2 variants. Constructive soil injection and soil sealing (water inhibiting layer). In water-glass injection, the grains of sand are cemented together to form 1 mass. With constructive soil injection we speak of a hard gel. In soil sealing we speak of a soft gel.

How does water glass injection work?

Before water glass is injected by Grondinjectie Nederland, a soil investigation takes place. Based on the findings and calculations, sheet pile walls are placed and injection lances inserted into the sand layer. These injection lances form a certain pattern, covering the entire surface underground. After installation of the lances, a gel consisting of water glass, water and a hardener is injected. This gel fills all the pores in the sand layer, creating a water-inhibiting layer after curing.

At that time, the ground is completely sealed off from groundwater and you can realize your building pit and construction project without any problems.

The benefits of water glass injection

  • Short curing time
  • Rapid start of construction
  • No vibration or noise pollution for nearby residents
  • Less deep excavation
  • Relatively inexpensive option

Construction pit leaks
Grondinjectie Nederland successfully remedies various types of moisture problems, including construction pit leaks, using injection. In this way, we remedy construction pit leaks in a sustainable manner.
Ground stabilization
Soil injection stabilizes and strengthens soil by injecting materials such as resins or cement into the soil. This technique prevents leaks and subsidence, making construction projects safer and more sustainable.
Soil injection
Soil injection: a clever technique in which resin is inserted into the soil under pressure to reinforce weak spots. This keeps structures stable and makes construction projects last longer.
